The article presents and compares selected techniques for the selection of parameters of the corrugated board production process based on linear models of relationships between process variables. The method of determining the parameters of these models is discussed, taking into account the practical knowledge and skills of operators conducting production. For this purpose, a system for measuring and recording the temperature of paper raw materials, the webs of the produced double-layer cardboard, the multi-layer board and the speed of the board of the produced cardboard was designed and installed in the industrial environment of the corrugator. The recorded data were analysed in order to develop and evaluate the suitability of selected models used to set initial parameters of cardboard production. The proposed approach allows the use of individual experience of each operator conducting production, which has a positive effect on the quality of the produced cardboard and the efficiency of the production process.
