Abstract

This article makes clear that the yearly income of NPO curator running a public museum is a small sum more remarkably than the curator of the public museum which the local government runs. And I suggest the remedy of the problem. And I suggest the remedy of the problem. A designated manager system comes to be introduced into administration of the public accommodation, and the examples that the private sector runs of the administration form of the public museums increase. NPO runs public museums more than 70 in Japan. The problems are that the pay level of the curator who is employment is low. I compared the salary standard of the curator of the NPO with the curator of the public employee to inspect it. As a result, the former is approximately 5,610,000 yen a year on the average. The latter was proved to be approximately 2,470,000 yen. In the first place it depends on leadership of the central government to make a designated manager system a cost reduction plan of the public accommodation. The local governments used it for a cost reduction plan. However, there was a by-product. This is because the one that NPO runs understood that a performance becomes higher. Of course I do not say that all is so, but there are many such examples. However, the continuation of the administration is difficult if we continue a way of the use of the present system. There will be the problem in future what kind of method we guarantee continuity by the administration of the public museum which NPO runs. The way of thinking consulting with about the switch from facility to the institute is one plan on planning the improvement of the problem.
