Abstract
WU Ru-lun was a famous classical prose writer and educator in the late Qing Dynasty,but there are many mistakes in the introduction of his life experience in the academic circle.First,he was not the eighth successful candidate of the highest imperial examinations in the year1865 but the 104th.Second the exact time when he entered the ZENG Guo-fan Administration was in May,1866.Third,WU Ru-lun took the position of the president of the Imperial Academy,which was not through the recommendation to the emperor by the educational minister,but by the order of the emperor so he could not refuse it.Finally,in his later years,he created Tongcheng Primary School,not the present Tongcheng Middle School.
