If we still have a shot to help the team in any way, I don't know if it's a few weeks of the season or the playoff, we're just trying to be ready for it.

Hello and welcome to Lockdown Red Sox, your daily Boston Red Sox podcast. I'm your host, Gabby Maljanian, and today's episode is brought to you by FanDuel. Get $350 in bonus bets guaranteed when you bet $5 every day for seven days. Join all of the action at FanDuel.com. Hello, hello, happy Friday. Welcome to the show. Red Sox pulled off a win last night against the Rangers, a very much needed win 4-3. Trevor Story was the hero with a three-run homer in that game. The Red Sox had lost the first two games of that series, so it was definitely frustrating watching the Red Sox play in that series because that was a very winnable series, and I've talked a lot about They've got to win the series that they should be winning. They've got to beat the teams that they should be beating. And they didn't fulfill that in this series. But they did pull off a win last night to avoid a sweep. And that's all good and great. But we look ahead to the potential postseason. And what that could look like for the Red Sox, because they haven't clinched yet. They're getting closer and closer, but they have not clinched. And they could be getting a reinforcement back in Johan Oviedo. Where does Oviedo fit his road back to the major league team? And you're going to hear from Oviedo himself shortly. So he pitched for the Woo Sox last night and he threw two and a third innings, 30 pitches total. And Woo Sox manager Iggy Suarez had said pregame that that was a plan for him was to go about 30 pitches. So however long that is in the game. So. He threw 20 strikes over his 30 pitches and four strikeouts. So he felt pretty good overall. And in his post-game interview, we talked to him a little bit about how he was feeling. And he was asked how he felt returning to the mound after not pitching in a game since March.
