The Red Sox offense completely failed them in this series, and it wasn't the slightest bit surprising. [upbeat music] You are Locked On Red Sox, your daily Boston Red Sox podcast. Part of the Locked On Podcast Network, your team every day. Hello, and welcome to Locked On Red Sox, your daily Boston Red Sox podcast. I'm your host, Gaby Maljanian, and today's episode is brought to you by FanDuel. Make this your most rewarding season ever with FanDuel Rewards Club. Every week, check the FanDuel app to see what's waiting for you. Well, that sucked. No other way around it. Red Sox completely choked under the bright lights of Yankee Stadium once again, and it's just infuriating that for the second season in a row their series ended in the Bronx in the Wild Card series. I mean, I thought we were past this. The Red Sox were supposed to have improved the team to set itself up for success. Now granted, injuries played a factor. Roman Anthony not being healthy for the majority of the season was a factor. Expecting Garrett Crochet to come in and pitch in high leverage in the Bronx after having not pitched in a baseball game since April 25th, that hurt. That's a tough scenario. So there's circumstances you can point to, but in reality, at the end of the day, the Red Sox didn't do what they needed to do, and the holes in the roster were very apparent. So what now? What's next? Gonna be talking about that on today's show. Sonny Gray deserved so much better, and the offensive failure. This was just an absolute nightmare scenario. After everything this Red Sox team went through to get here, after being 32 and 46, after changing managers, after the injuries, after one of the greatest mid-season turnarounds in franchise history, it just all comes to an end, and that's what's so upsetting. And there's a lot to digest here and a lot to talk about over the next week or so, so just bear with me. I'm gonna focus on last night's game a lot today. But I will be talking a lot more about who's to blame, who should be held accountable, who do we trust moving forward, what players should stay, what players should go in the off-season, because there's a lot of revamping that needs to be
