Don't look at it as a design software that's going to replace a key role in your process. Look at it more of as a communication tool where now you can convey these images more clearly and more efficiently to the homeowners, which obviously is going to, in return, give that homeowner a great experience.

Welcome to the Sales Made Simple podcast. This podcast is dedicated to helping overwhelmed outdoor living professionals, landscapers, and hardscapers just like you increase your closing rate to over 75% without doubling your workload so you can build a seven-figure business that doesn't need you. I'm your host, Joshua Gillow. Let's dig in. Hey everybody, welcome back to the show. This week I have Ryan King on with me. He owns King Landscape Design and he designs for landscapers, contractors, and even probably some homeowners all around the country and I believe

around the world. I'm sure he'll tell us a little bit about

that. But I wanted to bring him on the show here because if there's a man that knows what's going on in the world of design, it's him. And I'm curious about what he's doing to integrate AI into design. So Ryan, welcome to the show.

Yeah, thanks a lot, Josh. I'm super excited about today's topic. I mean, it's such a growing, it's not even a trend because it's here to stay. It's such a growing aspect in all industries, not just ours alone, but there's so many ways as we'll chat about how to integrate into day-to-day business and day-to-day lives.

Yeah, I keep seeing like nonstop, all these gurus are popping up and that's gurus, meaning that they probably had what, six months worth of education now because AI is happening so fast, right? It's not like they have 40 years of this, like it is happening. Only three years ago, we didn't even know what chat GBT was, right? So it's like, it's happening really, really fast. You think about generations before when things would change, they'd take years to integrate, like years. Just think of the telephone or electricity or like things like that that took forever for that to happen. People getting TVs in their houses. It took some families generations to make that happen. Now AI in a snap of a finger is changing your life and you're just like, what? What's going on? So I hear a lot of the guys in industry, like, you know, Leanscaper guys and all that. They're like, hey, you know, it's the best thing that since sliced bread. And I agree it is. There's a lot of goodness there. Yeah. But the question really I want to get into is, A, how do we get into adapting to this new technology as fast as we can? Because, you know, every generation resists the new tool always, right? We start off with the old hand drafters that used to do landscape design all by hand, 3D renderings and models and all that stuff, sketches. All those things were done by hand. Then they used color and stuff to make it nicer. And eventually CAD came out. And everyone's like, oh, I can't use CAD. CAD's going to be horrible like the machine. You can't do that. You're not going to have the personal touch. Well, look what happened. CAD became the thing, right? There's still people that hand draw, but CAD's there. Now we have 3D
