Hello, everyone. Welcome to another episode of the Dentalpreneur Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Mark Costas. You guys might hear a little splashing. This is the first ever. We're doing a podcast here in Savusavu, Fiji, on the bay in a couple of kayaks. We got the drone following. It's a beautiful, misty day here. It looks a little bit like King Kong if you look out into the distance. A lot of palm trees, a lot of coconut trees. Huge mountains all around us. Very green and lush, beautiful landscape. It really is heaven on earth. Like trying to explain it to you guys does not do it justice. Even pictures

2Episode notes

On today's episode, Dr. Mark Costes takes the podcast offshore, recording from the ocean in Fiji with Dr. Jeff Clark for a conversation on military dentistry, endodontics, practice ownership, and mission work. Jeff shares how the Navy helped shape his early career, why he ultimately chose endodontics, and how he found the opportunity to return to his hometown in Montana and become a partner in an established specialty practice.

They also discuss aircraft ownership, the flexibility that comes with building the right business, and why mission trips have become such an important part of Jeff's life. Jeff reflects on the relationships formed through service, the perspective that comes from treating patients with limited access to care, and why experiences like Fiji can make dentistry back home feel simpler and more meaningful.
