One of the things that we're always looking at in different parts of our lives, we want to be high agency individuals who can realize our potential and who can then have the ability to be able to contribute positively to the people around us, our families, our communities, and so on. I'm having a harder and a harder time seeing learning as like an individual task. and more and more it's like learning in the context of community learning in helping one's community being a valuable contributor to the world around us

Welcome everyone to another episode of EdTech Insiders and our special mini-series focused on higher education innovation. Today we have George Siemens with us. George is the Chief AI Transformation Officer at Southern New Hampshire University, but he's also known in our sector as one of the great thinkers and intellectuals who developed, I think, the foremost innovation in my career that I've observed, which is the MOOC movement. And I want to talk to him today about what he has learned from the history of the origins of MOOCs, what it might teach us for those who are innovating in new technologies for today. He was instrumental in creating the learning analytics
