Which we record every Monday. We did not record it today because we are gonna be doing basically a special live recording today over the first couple hours of the show, how we normally do it. So if you've listened to the show before, it'll sound somewhat familiar. Uh, if not, we are gonna break down AJ DiBonsa specifically today, um, for the first segment, and go in kind of a deep dive into what he does and does not do, and why he, you know, could be an option for the Jazz at number two, or why he might go number one overall to Washington. And then we'll get to the mail bag. We got a lot of mail bag questions as always, and then we will post this, uh, online as our normal Jazz Notes podcast. And then coming up at 4:00 today, Steve Bartel's gonna come in and join us, and we'll talk, you know, all the latest with Utah's private equity stuff, the layoffs that started last week. We'll get into some finals talk, which, uh, Chandler and I will get into some finals talk as well, plus big NFL day, lots of news stories there. So it will be, in some ways, a normal show, in some ways, a little bit different, but, uh, Chandler, thanks for coming in.
Yeah, absolutely. Always a, always a great time to hop on. Um, and I think talking about AJ, of course, for the entire college basketball season, he was the biggest storyline, uh, locally for BYU, Utah, almost anything, especially, uh, pertaining to the NBA draft. But now it seems like he's almost maybe the third most talked about, uh, when you're sort of looking from the Jazz angle 'cause Darren Peterson seems to be the favorite at number two, and then I feel like Cam Boozer's almost talked about more than AJ as why he shouldn't be in the conversation as to opposed to the top two guys.
We have reached a point in the draft, because naturally this happens, is, you know, there was the lottery on whatever, May 11th or whatever-
Mm-hmm
... the day was. And everybody comes out with their initial kinda reviews, what they think is gonna happen, projections, and AJ is the number one guy on basically every single board.
Yeah.
And everyone starts to step away from the college basketball season a little bit, and then they start to deep dive on highlight tapes, or crunching the numbers, or going back and watching games on YouTube, and just kind of the select games that are gonna be the, the standout games, and you get a little bit of AJ fatigue.
Yes.
And then you start wondering like, "Well, what if it's Darren Peterson?" Even though that, like, clearly got dismissed midway through the year.
Yeah.
You know, because of the injuries with Darren Peterson, et cetera, et cetera. And then the Cam Boozer analytics stuff comes up, and Jonathan Givony over
