And of course, we are leading with the Tel Aviv flight diverted to Saudi Arabia after a pilot stabbed the other and tried to crash the plane before being subdued when other passengers broke into the cockpit. Luckily, there was another crew on board to land the plane. Dominic Carter here with you. We'll be taking your phone calls this hour, 800-848-9222. But first, we're going to start with the guests. And I want you to imagine this. I want you to imagine this. So the plane carrying roughly 150 people. plunging, plunging, dropping from 34,000 feet all the way down to 14,000 feet in a matter of 30 seconds. Here's what it sounded like to some of the passengers.
What happened? Can you tell me what happened? That's it, that's it, that's it. Check it, check it.
America, I want you to think about this. Whenever you're aboard an aircraft and it drops just a foot or two, how you almost feel like your heart stopping. So imagine an aircraft dropping that many thousand of feet. We're going to deal with that. We're also going to talk about Mamdani's big loss as it relates to his tax on second homes for the wealthy. But I am starting this hour with a guess. And our guest joining us right now is someone I've been wanting to talk to on air for a while. I've seen him in passing, but I really wanted to get him on the air. And that is Assemblyman Lester Chang. And he's particularly interesting in terms of. One, he's one of the few Republican assembly members from New York City, and he has a lot to say, and he's fighting a good fight. So, Assemblyman, before I get to the general public, I want to deal with you for the first 12 minutes or so for the program. How are you today, sir?
Great, Dominic, and thank you for having me on your show. And I am a fan of yours for many years when you're back at New York One.
Well, thank you. That's very nice of you to say. So you fight the good fights. That's what I like about you. That's number one. That's number one. So I'm going to be all over the place for a few minutes here. So one, you are behind an effort to formally commemorate October 7th. the terror attack in Israel, uh, as something that, that should be done, uh, every year, uh, in, in, in, in the state of New York in America, but in particular, the state of New York, correct. And why are you behind this?
That's correct. Because there's something in my heart that we should, uh, memorize that not celebrate, but memorize that so many people were killed as, as I look upon as nine 11, so many people were killed during that, uh, tragic World Trade Center, and happened to be right now in

The conversation highlights Chang's legislative efforts to establish an annual day of remembrance for the October 7 attacks in Israel, which he claims was blocked by Democratic lawmakers due to partisan opposition.
