Hey, we've got a heck of a show for you this week. The gloves come off. Julie and I get into it. Nothing wrong with a little healthy debate. So if you enjoy a little banter in a podcast, this week's Blitz gets political, it gets economic, and it gets a little rough. Uh, we hope you enjoy this podcast. We have been publishing The Blitz, School's Out, and Humans in the Loop every week. Uh, that may, that, that may change a little bit going forward with all this agentic work going on and all the side work that I have. We may just be pushing out one or two podcasts a week. But if you like, comment, uh, follow this podcast. I mean, if the audience grows, we may be able to dedicate some more time for it. But for those of you who are our loyal audience, we really appreciate you. Like, follow, subscribe, comment. That really helps us juice the algo. Uh, with that, I'm gonna give you Julie and I talking politics, talking AI, talking, uh, doomers versus boomers, and, uh ... One other thing I've really been diving into is using AI video generation. So I've been using Claude. I am the, uh, AI solutions architect for Chakra AI Solutions. And, uh, we have been using Claude alongside Google Vids to make some animated videos, which I really enjoy. I'm gonna play one of those for you right before the show. And we are hosting our launch party at Daniels Vineyard in McCordsville next Sunday, October 11th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. There's a link in the show notes if you wanna join us. If you're a small to medium-sized business who's interested in how you can leverage AI at your company, feel free to register and join us. You do have to register so we make sure we have enough food and space for everybody, but we'd love to see you there. With that, I'm putting my gloves on. Julie took hers off. Here we go. Ding, ding.

Running a business shouldn't feel like organized confusion. You can't automate chaos. Chakra maps how your business runs, then builds AI that fits. Open your third eye. Operate with clarity.

Hey, welcome back to AGI Podcast Weekly Blitz. Good morning, Julie Kohler.

JK
Julie Koehrer2:21

Good morning, Jason. How are you?

JP
Jason Padgett2:23

I'm good. How are you?

JK
Julie Koehrer2:25

I'm doing well. Slept in today. Slept in till, like, 8:00. [laughs]

JP
Jason Padgett2:30

I like that. I, I like that you call sleeping in 8:00.

JK
Julie Koehrer2:34

Well, I mean, these days I'm usually waking up, you know... Like Saturday, I got up at 5:45. I was just like, "Oh, okay, I'm up." [laughs]

JP
Jason Padgett2:42

Yeah. I'm definitely, uh, an early riser. But, you know, it's funny. Hanging out with all these, uh, techy people, like, I found the stereotype about them being personality-less very untrue, for the most part.

JK
Julie Koehrer2:54

Okay.

JP
Jason Padgett2:54

But the stereotype about them not liking to get up in the morning, that one resonates. [laughs]

JK
Julie Koehrer2:59

Yeah.

JP
Jason Padgett2:59

Definitely not an early morning. Oh, 10:00 is like what probably you and I would consider 7:00. Like-

JK
Julie Koehrer3:05

Okay. Yeah.

JP
Jason Padgett3:06

So, yeah

JK
Julie Koehrer3:06

That's wild 'cause that is, that feels like a third of the day is over.

JP
Jason Padgett3:10

Amen, sister.

JK
Julie Koehrer3:11

[laughs]

JP
Jason Padgett3:13

But then in the Marine Corps we used to say we get more before the sun comes up than most people do all day. I, I, early morning's my thing. Like, sometimes I'll get up at 3:00 or 4:00, but I, uh, by, by 2:00 lots of times I'm kinda wiped out and need a nap or... And

2Episode notes

Personal AI agents are moving into calendars, inboxes, phones, and feeds. The harder question is who carries responsibility when those systems shape what people see, believe, and choose.

Jason Padgett and Julie Koehrer take the gloves off in this Weekly Blitz. What starts with Meta Muse, Grok Bot, privacy, and AI regulation turns into a real argument about the economy, data-center incentives, capitalism, billionaires, water, algorithms, and whether responsibility sits with companies, government, or the public.

The disagreement gets heated. They stay in it, listen, push back, and end with the thing this show is supposed to make room for: two people who respect each other enough to argue honestly.
