I always say when you walk into a bank, you expect to see a teller back there behind a thing and you expect to have a box and you expect to have carpeting in there or tile. And there's all these things. And none of it is why we chose that particular bank. But if it's not there or if it's done badly, we get frustrated. And there's a line that goes in a restaurant. If the silverware is dirty on your table and you didn't get your drink clean, for 20 minutes. It doesn't matter whether Bobby Flay himself delivers the food to your table. You're frustrated and you may not come back.

2Episode notes
Most companies spend September and October planning for 2027, but they skip the part that actually matters: figuring out how their teams will execute on it. That's why we're revisiting this episode with Dr. Chuck Bamford, who walks through how to align strategy from the boardroom all the way down to compensation plans, daily activities, and the conversations your reps have with customers. He covers what separates strategy that gets executed from strategy that sits on a shelf, and why most execution failures have nothing to do with the strategy itself. If you're mapping out your revenue goals for next year, this episode is a must-listen before you finalize your plan.
