He's come closer, inshallah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Wa kafa wa salaman ala ibadihil ladheena astafa amma ba'd. After last three weeks discussing Surah Al-Fil, by no means have we done any justice to the Surah. There's so much more that we can derive from it, learn from it, and work on implementing it in our lives. is not only about learning, it is about how much of it are we internalizing, how much of it are we practicing upon. On the Day of Judgment, there are four questions that every person must answer before they can move from their position. Nobody will be permitted to move from their position on the Day of Judgment until they answer four questions. Number one, and... how did you spend your life how did you specifically spend your youth regarding your wealth where did you earn it and where did you spend it and lastly regarding the knowledge of the deen how much of the knowledge of deen did you acquire and how much of that which you acquired did you practice upon so it's not only a matter of learning but rather importantly after learning is practicing may Allah give us the faith to practice So this is in response to one of our students here just said, wait, are we starting Surah Quraish, we're done with Surah Al-Film? So by no means are we done with Surah Al-Film. We have barely scratched the surface of Surah Al-Film. Because just on the ilm side of it, then after the ilm is the amal. But we are just moving on with seeking tawfiq from Allah Ta'ala that He gives tawfiq to actually make amal. Umar radiallahu ta'ala anhu has mentioned he took one riwayah, twelve years, one riwayah more or less, wallahu a'alam, to study, just to finish surah al-Baqarah. So, he didn't even have that many years after Rasulullah ﷺ. He had two and a half years of Abu Bakr r.a. in his ten and a half years. But then Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed from before. So he must obviously have started when it was revealed. Ayah by ayah, they will learn all of the ahkam and they would make sure they are practicing it, implementing it in their lives before moving on. This surah, Surah Quraish is very, very, very strongly linked with Surah Al-Fil. The Surah that immediately precedes it. This first word here, ilaf, or it's second after the letter laam, li ilaf. There is no single word in the Arabic language, in the English language that can accurately translate it. There's so many different words, I was looking it up to explain what this is. This particular transition, it is giving here perennial security. So that means throughout the year, twice a year. But it's not just annually or perennially or every year or in the summer and the winter, in the two seasons of the year. It's all the seasons of the year. There was a state of... of security that Allah had granted the Quraysh. Physical security of life and person, as well as economic security, financial security. أَطَعْمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ Give them food to eat so they're not hungry. أَمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خُوْبٍ Give them safety and security so
