Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. [speaking foreign language] Allahumma waffiqna lima tuhibbu wa tarda. Minal qauli wal fi'li wal amri wan niyyati wal huda. Innaka ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma ilhimna marashida umurina wa a'idhna min shururi anfusina. Ama ba'd. Respected brothers, elders, mothers and sisters, as the theme of this conference is glad tidings, I would like to begin with a hadith wherein the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam gives glad tidings specifically to those individuals who are very regular, very punctual in attending the masajid. The hadith goes as follows. "If there are items, Rijal, Ya'tadu Al Masjid, fashadu lahu bil iman." When you see a person Ya'tadu from Ada, it is, it is his habit. It it is, it is his practice that he's always in the masjid, coming for Salah, participating in the various programs, spending a lot of time in the masjid. Ya'tadu Al Masjid, fashadu lahu bil iman. Such an individual bear testimony that he is a person of faith. You see, when you have a house, you have the guests who come and go, and then you have the family. The guests are there once in a while. You have guests over, oh, once maybe on the weekend or once or twice a month. Guests come and they go. They don't live there. They don't reside there. They just come for a few hours and they're gone. But then you have the family of that house. The family is always there. They live there. Their twenty-four/seven is spent there in the house. So likewise, Allah Ta'ala calls the masajid buyut. "Fi buyutin adin Allah". These are the houses of Allah Ta'ala. So just like we have guests and we have family in our houses, likewise there are also guests of the masjid, and then there's the family of the masjid. In the month of Ramadan, you see that there's a lot of guests that come to the masjid. But then on the Fajr of the day of Eid, that's when the guests depart and the family remains. Imam Malik Rahimahullah used to say, "Sukkanul Madinati katheer walakin Ahlul Madinati qaleel". Said the residents of Medina are many. You have tons of people, hundreds, thousands people who are residing in Medina. At that time you even had the munafiqun, the hypocrites who were living in Medina. So sukkan, the residents of Medina, they're many in number. Walakin Ahlul Madina, but the people of Medina, the real family of Medina, those individuals are very few in number. So likewise, the guests of the masjid are many. But the family of the masjid, the people who are always here present, these individuals are very few in number. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has special love for the family of the masjid. The hadith of Ibn Majah mentions, "Ma tawatta an-- wa tawattana rajulun muslimun Al Masajida bis Salati wa zikri illa tabashbashu Allahu lahu kama yata bashbashu Ahlul ghaibi bi ghaibihim idha qadima alaihim". That when a person makes the masjid tawattana, he makes it his abode. He's always present, spends his time in the masjid. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala gets so happy by his presence. Just like when you have a relative, your father, your mother, one of your siblings, your children, who's out of the house,
