Alhamdulillah, this last weekend, not exactly related to the topic, but some of you may have attended. We had the Sira conference. And the main theme from the Sira conference was that we have to learn to become ushaq of Nabi ﷺ. We have to learn to become lovers of Nabi ﷺ. that it is not sufficient just to practice the mere rituals, go through the actions, as they say, up, down, cross the ground, back to town, that you just come to salah, but it's that you truly love Nabi ﷺ, and you love Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And when a person has that love, then Insha'Allah, even if they have some, you know, qab, the bust, whatever their spiritual state is, but as long as truly deep down they love Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, then that will be a means of protecting their iman. And nowadays when we live in a time, يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ مُؤْمِنًا وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا A person, he goes to sleep as a mu'min, wakes up as a kafir. نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِن ذَلِكٍ Wakes up as a mu'min, goes to sleep as a kafir. then the best antidote, the best vaccine a person can have to protect himself from this is to have true and deep love of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. And Mufti Sahib beautifully mentioned in his last talk that the way to gain that love of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ is you stay in the company of those who love. That you can't just learn this thing by yourself, sitting at home, scrolling through TikTok, Instagram, even listening to a thousand bayans on the seerah. It is not necessary that just because you listen to bayans on a topic that a person will gain love. Rather, it's like watching basketball. You can watch a lot of basketball online, but you're not gonna get that good. Unless you go and watch live and train with a coach. And that's why if a person wants to increase in his spirituality, truly gain love of Allah and His Messenger , then you have to stay in the company of Ahlullah, of those people who truly love Allah . Those people who truly love the Messenger of Allah . And you know honestly, they say sometimes from the mashayikh, even from their silence you can benefit. And a person will say, well, how does that make sense? From a person's silence you can benefit. He's not telling me anything. Because their hay'ah, their haal, their situation, their condition is a condition of dhikr. So even when a person is silent, in that condition there's a lot of benefit that a person can derive because a person is connected with Allah . And when a person is connected with Allah , then his speaking and silence are equal in the sense of people are always benefiting if they're truly looking to benefit. And another thing that today Muftisa mentioned in class that I just want to mention as a reminder for all of us, is that when we attend the gatherings of ilm, or part of ikhlas, has been the central theme from the past few sessions, is a person sits with the niyyah, with the intention to benefit. Not with the intention to object, you know, act smart. And even a part of asking the right questions, you should ask questions that have عَمَلِ فَائِدَة. Not just questions like, have no practical benefit. Yes, we hear often that it's true that
