19 turns · 1 hr 13 minأفواههم إن يقولون إلا كذبا. فلعلك باخع نفسك على آثارهم إن لم يؤمنوا بهذا الحديث أسفا. إنا جعلنا ما على الأرض زينة لها لنبلوهم أيهم أحسن عملا. وإنا لجاعلون ما عليها صعيدا جروزا. أم حسبت أن أصحاب الكهف والرقيم كانوا من آياتنا عجبا. إذ أوى الفتية إلى الكهف فقالوا ربنا آتنا من لدنك رحمة وهيئ لنا من أمرنا رشدا. وعرضنا جهنم يومئذ للكافرين عرضا. الذين كانت أعينهم في غطاء عن ذكري وكانوا لا يستطيعون سمعا. أفعسي الذين كفروا أن يتخذوا عبادي من دوني أولياء إنا أعتدنا جهنم للكافرين نزلا. قل هل ننبئكم بالأخسرين أعمالا. الذين ضل سعيهم في الحياة الدنيا وهم يحسبون أنهم يحسنون صنعا. أولئك الذين كفروا بآيات ربهم ولقائه فحبطت أعمالهم فلا نقيم لهم يوم القيامة وزنا. ذلك جزاؤهم جهنم بما كفروا واتخذوا آياتي ورسلي هزوا. إن الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات كانت لهم جنات الفردوس نزلا. خالدين فيها لا يبغون عنها حولا. قل لو كان البحر مدادا لكلمات ربي لنفد البحر قبل أن تنفد كلمات ربي ولو جئنا بمثله مددا. قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم يوحى إلي أنما إلهكم إله واحد. فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه فليعمل عملا صالحا ولا يشرك بعبادة ربه أحدا.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Nahmaduhu wa nusalli wa nusallimu ala rasulihil kareem. Subhanaka la ilma lana illa ma allamtana innaka anta al-'Aleemul Hakim. Allahumma waqqina lima tuhibbu wa tarda minal qawli wal fi'il wal 'amali wan niyyati wal huda innaka ala kulli shay'in qadir. Allahumma ilhimna maraashi'a umurina wa a'idhna min shururi anfusina. Amma ba'ad. Respected brothers, elders, mothers and sisters, we're continuing with the weekly series, The Compass Program. Currently Mufti Sahib is covering this book, Ayyuhal Walan, beautiful book by Imam Ghazali Rahimullah, when he gives a number of advices to one of his students. I remember personally I had purchased this kitab in Al-Madinatul Munawwara. May Allah Ta'ala allow us to visit the Haramain Sharifain again and again. Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen. So on one of my trips there I had purchased this kitab, Ayyuhal Walan, and I was traveling back. In the plane I took it out of my bag and I was reading through it. And I was just thinking to myself that Subhanallah, what must have been the sincerity, the ikhlas of the author, Imam Ghazali Rahimullah. He probably never dreamt in his life that hundreds of year, hundreds of years after his passing, people would be reading his kitab hundreds and thousands of miles above sea level in the skies and benefiting from the work that he left behind. One of my favorite parts of the kitab is actually this very part that we will be covering today. There's one jumla, one sentence here, which I think is like the summary of the entire kitab. And Inshallah we'll get into that just now, bi-idhnillahi Ta'ala. So continuing from where we left off, PDF is, will be up in a minute Inshallah. Imam Ghazali Rahimullah says, أي شيء حاصلك من تحصيل علم الكلام والخلاف والطب والدواوين والأشعار والنجوم والعرود والنحو والتصريف غير تضييع العمر بجلان ذي الجلان He says, "What are you going to gain? What are you going to attain by learning about these different sciences?" He speaks about ilm al-kalam, ilm al-khilaf, ilm al-tibb, right, medicine
