'They are terrified': Jacqui Felgate sheds light on BRUTAL firebombing overnight

Another issue I wanna take a look at today. There have been at least two firebombings across Melbourne, and we're working on a tip-off that there has also been a third in one evening. And I find it fairly staggering to think that you can have potentially three, and confirmed two, firebombings at homes across Melbourne, and it barely gets a whimper now. So we had one in Balwyn North last night and one in Maidstone. And I spoke to the people who live at the home in Maidstone, and let me tell you what an evening they had. Well, actually, it happened at 6:00 o'clock in the morning. They have lost the majority of their possessions. They've lost their vehicles, and they had to flee over the back fence. So put yourself in this couple's shoes. Imagine... And they're terrified. They, they don't wanna speak publicly about this. Imagine being asleep in your bed. You are hardworking people who have lived in Melbourne all your life, and you are woken by the sound of your car alarm at 6:00 o'clock in the morning. You and your partner have to run down the stairs for your lives as your cars go up in flames. And I've got v- a vision of these alleged offenders doing this act. So you've lost your cars, and then the roof of your home collapses. And what are you? You are just the latest innocent victim in Melbourne's ongoing firebombing war. Same alleged offenders, same hoodies. And my thoughts with the victims yet again. Innocent, hardworking Melburnians who are just living their lives, and today they wake up, and thankfully they are okay. They have no vehicles, and they have no home because their roof collapsed. And these offenders remain on the run. And again, we go to yesterday, where we brought you the news of these six alleged offenders who joyrided across Melbourne. One of them, surprise, surprise, on bail. Half of them, surprise, surprise, underage. So we will keep you posted throughout the program as to whether this lot go through our revolving bail door yet again
