All right, Cody, check out this business. It is a sleep mask for babies, and I want you to guess what this business is doing in terms of revenue.
Okay. So I'm not a father.
[laughs]
I don't know the market. It looks like a little hat. Okay. A sleep mask that pulls down over the face. Okay.
They have one product. It's a 29 or a $28 product.
$29, multiple sizes. There's some different colors. [sighs] He wouldn't have brought it up unless it was doing decent. I'm gonna say it's doing 10,000 a month in sales.
Yeah, I think it is doing, uh, quite a bit more than that according to this, uh, this article, where it says this was invented by a new mom, Julia Holden, and it is doing up to $90,000 in revenue.
Wow.
$90,000 in December, okay, so holiday season, but still $69,000 after the holidays. So even if you've rounded low and, you know, call it 50 grand, and who knows what the profit margins are like, but say 20% margins after, you know, ad costs and product costs and everything else. Like, you're still doing 10 grand a month worth of sleep masks for baby s- on a, a year-and-a-half old e-commerce product with only one, with only one SKU here. I guess she's got three or four different sizes, but really interesting space because you're not in the, uh, parenting, uh, chapter of life yet, but you... when you get there, you'll know we would spend any amount of money to help your kids sleep better and get some sleep yourself. And so it's like, okay, you're selling it to me for $28? That's a gamble I am willing to take to help my, uh, my kids sleep better. So really interesting business on this one.
Have you seen, I think it was on Shark Tank, there was, like, some kind of a... I remember watching an episode. It was, like, a car seat. It was, like, Tush Baby, I think it was called, and they ended up signing with one of the Sharks at, like, a multiple million dollar valuation.
Wow.
I think I've seen another one, like a... something to make the... [laughs] to alleviate your back pain when you're carrying your baby as well. So it, it seems like baby comfort is a pretty big market.
Yeah, I think this is a really big market. The marketing channels are Amazon, TikTok. More in startup costs than a lot of side hustles 'cause it's a physical product business. It says it costs $16,000 to get it off the ground. And I imagine in the baby product space, there are some regulations around what it can contain. You know, when we were new parents, they were like, "Don't put anything in the crib."
