This morning, we've got news on Anthropologie's new bet on Nike sneakers and Batteries Plus rolling out a suite of AI tools across its franchise network. But we begin today with Urban Outfitters Incorporated, which posted record second quarter net sales of $1.7 billion. which was up 10.4% year over year with a big assist from its Nuuly rental business. Nuuly sales remarkably jumped 28.6% to $179 million, adding nearly 113,000 new average active subscribers, a 30.4% jump. President Dave Hine told analysts the brand actually crested over 500,000 active subscribers in early June before easing back into typical summer seasonality. Now, here's the thing worth flagging. Products from Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People made up around 45% of Newly's inventory in 2025. That is according to Wells Fargo analysts. So a meaningful chunk of Newly's growth is really Urban recirculating its own merchandise back through a subscription model. which is fantastic because it keeps people attached to the brand. Hain rightly calls it a two-way street with sister brands getting follow-on sales and outside brands getting visibility.
