Visit tryzenline.ai to book a call and see how agents can bring you more margin. today is september 23rd 2026 i am live once again from my hotel room at the mandalay bay resort and casino in las vegas getting ready to attend grocery shop and this morning we've got news on best buys new push into social commerce with a storefront on tiktok shop and sam's club connects new ai powered predictive ad targeting tools but we begin today with a standoff between two companies that are supposed to be partners. Amazon has cut off Meta's new Muse AI agent from shopping on Amazon.com after, according to GeekWire's Todd Bishop, trying and failing to get Meta to voluntarily keep Amazon out of the experience. Amazon's complaint is pretty specific. Meta never told Amazon that Muse would be browsing its store. The agent doesn't identify itself when it shops, and Amazon says it appears to capture and store customer credentials. which raises its own privacy and security questions. Users now get a pop-up saying continued access by an unauthorized agent violates Amazon's conditions of use. What makes this notable is that these two are supposed to be in business together. Amazon products have been shoppable inside Facebook and Instagram since 2023. And Meta signed a multi-billion dollar deal back in April to run its agentic AI workloads on Amazon's very own chips. So this isn't some outside challenger picking a fight. This is a dispute between partners over who actually controls the shopping relationship once an AI agent is doing the clicking. And Amazon's been drawing this line all year. It sued Perplexity over its Comet browser, as many of you likely remember. It's moved to block agents from Google and OpenAI, and it won, then lost, then failed to revive an injunction against Perplexity after the Ninth Circuit ruled back in August that it's the user, not the AI company, accessing Amazon's systems. That ruling left Amazon one lever, its own conditions of use, which is exactly what it's leaning on here. It's also worth remembering that Amazon has $68 billion a year riding on people actually browsing its pages and seeing sponsored products. So there's a real money threat behind where it draws this line, not just principle. Muse, for its part, became the number one free app in the App Store within a week of launch, ahead of ChatGPT. So this fight is
