November 2025, Their filet americain special and their leverworst are excellent. Also their own roasted Zeeuws Spek. Not cheap though (especially their beef), but it's worth it. March 2025, Remains an icon in Amsterdam. Their own made products, fresh meat & salads on offer are excellent. Swift service, It's a busy place expect a 'line'. Lot of nice cold cuts.

These guys charged me 30.95 on the KG for shortrib. Will try to rip you off. Context for pricing - 7.95 average in the UK for grass fed alongside de kwekers price of 14.50 both on the KG.

Low quality steaks with little marbling and little flavor

If you want to try some cured meats, such as salami, this butchery is very centrally located, and has a wide selection. The slices can be very thick (1/2"), and you can choose a few different kinds for a sandwich. But don't ask for samplers, as they do not provide those. It's either a thick slice or nothing.

Although their meat is good quality, they are over priced. €85.50/kg for beef fillet is a ripoff.

High quality traditional butcher, with a long history in the district and widely known. Lots of choice. Can get crowded on a Saturday. If it is crowded, they use a queuing system, where you take a ticket with a number on from a machine, and await your number. They used to be cash only, but now accept bank card (but not credit card) payments.

What they apparently are rich in history they lack in customer friendliness and decent clientele. I was ridiculed after I commented on someone cheating the queue. This is the first time in my life I have been treated this horribly in an Amsterdam shop.
