Management is horrible! You will be ignored. Emails never responded to. Packages not delivered but in chaos. Mainly the day manager has a dislike for her job and is always in a bad mood and unhelpful. Concierge saves the day a little. Apartments are great if you can afford to pay way toooo much and have giant rent increases. Do not move here.
Sadman is an exceptional concierge, always warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. He greets everyone with a smile and makes you feel instantly at ease the moment you walk in. He consistently goes above and beyond, whether it’s helping with deliveries, answering questions, or assisting with any building requests. His professionalism, kindness, and positive attitude truly elevate the experience of living here.
Update 1-year and a bit in: well we renewed. Even given all of the issues, management is decently solid at rectifying issues. Overall they’ve invested in upgrades and improved quality of life since my last review so bumping this back up to 5-stars. Kudos to Shakeyra on her role in being responsive and reasonable to requests. — Update 6-months in: Moving this down to one star. The only upside here is that the concierge staff is great - shoutout to Josh and team. Otherwise it seems management prioritizes move-in experiences to get glowing reviews. Entire floors have been flooded, 2 elevators…
My husband and I used to prefer rental condos as we thought there is less administrative chores involved; but believe me, avoid the Selby at all costs. Our fridge didn't have one shelf when we moved in, and beside going to the management office in person multiple times, it's not fixed after a year. Almost the same is going on with all the other work orders we submitted. The amenities might be deceiving, but the sauna is broken almost always and the elevators are out of service frequently. In the last two years we've been here in two different units, they increased our rent yearly even though…

I’ve been living in this building for the last four years. Couldn’t be happier. Excellent amenities gym/pool/party rooms. Great office staff. The building is extremely clean and well kept. Wanted to take this opportunity to thank Alexandru and Sadman of the concierge team. These gentlemen go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis and assisted me with a difficult situation recently when they didn't have to. Really appreciate it!!!!!
Living at The Selby truly feels like home, and a big part of that is thanks to the outstanding work of the management office. In particular, Shakeyra Gordon has been absolutely wonderful — always professional, supportive, and kind. She goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel heard and taken care of, and her thoughtful approach makes a huge difference in daily life here. I’m very grateful for the entire management team effort. The Selby is not just a place to live — it’s a community, and that’s because of the people who manage it so well.
Fell in love with the location and the and the units so had to move here. Nice neighbourhood, building upkeep is very good. Staff is very friendly and always ready and willing to help. Big shout out to Carlos as well who was a wonderful person and went above and beyond by giving me an excellent tour of the property and assisted with everything and anything I needed throughout the entire process from start till finish.
I lived at The Selby for one year and I must say that it is one of the best maintained apartment buildings in Toronto. The amenities/corridors are incredibly clean and well-maintained (although I wish there was an indoor pool, not just outdoor) and security in the building is great as I never noticed strange characters just walk in. The automated system using parcel pending app makes parcel retrieval much easier. Then the Triconcierge app is perfect as all bookings, notifications and community ads are all on there. The staff is very friendly and organised. During winter/summer, the…
