They didn't notify us that the room we had booked was broken before we got there, they let us change rooms, the special effects in the room we did were pretty cool

The room was dirty and insanely hot. We also got the code and the last lock was broken and would not open, the worker even tried the same code and could not explain why it wouldn’t work. So crappy equipment is why we lost. Could also get no refund. Stay so far away from this place, it’s trash.

We decided to go to Bingemens for their escape room, which we did Emergency Exit. We are from London and have done all but two rooms in our entire city, and we have done rooms in Hamilton (two escape places there). We know escape rooms. We do not claim to be experts, and we don't always escape, but we take our failures because it helps us escape others in the future and we enjoy the challenge of a well built escape room. Disappointing. We tried the ‘Shaft’ escape room with our nephew. There were a lot of issues that made it impossible to figure anything out. Firstly it is too dark to actually see anything. Secondly the paper they gave us with the initial clues were faded so even once we took our phones out to try and read them- most of the clues were almost completely faded out. We asked for a ‘cheat’ clue within the first 15 minutes and nobody came. Eventually after signalling a few times- a staff member eventually came. The rooms were small and dirty. Locks did not work properly and needed to be replaced. Half the puzzles were removed from the rooms because they were broken. The rooms were not prepared properly as some puzzles were missing from the room and some things were left unlocked. The supervisor gave us an extra free room due to how poorly set up the first room was done. Both rooms despite advertising a below 20 percent success rate were completed in under 30 min. With both rooms taking an extra 10 minutes due to locks being sticky and not unlocking with the right code. The price point at 30$ a head…

Worst escape room I've ever been to. Theming was good, but couldn't make up for the problems. The room was not set up properly, a box was left unlocked so we didn't have to solve anything to open it. One lock was so broken, we spent 10 minutes on it with the correct code, but it wouldn't open. Had to use a hint to get the attendant to come in and help. The goal of the room we did was to find and open a treasure chest, then escape. There was no treasure chest in the room! We did emergency exit. It was very dark. The employee let us bring in our own flashlight and cell phone. We didn’t like the darkness and he came and turned on the light. One of the puzzles was broken. He added 10 extra minutes to our time. First clue is free and 5 minutes is deducted after that. The second room is dark and you need a flashlight but it didn’t work. You need a flashlight for this room. The last puzzle is a directional lock. We could not figure out how that works. The employees here are very nice.

Wife and I went for a date night, and we had so much fun we went back for a second round. The first round we tried the sorcerer’s stone and had a really great time. Without spoiling anything, we got up to the very last puzzle and couldn’t get it to work. We had the right idea but it was very finicky. The second round we tried emergency exit. Although it was probably slightly harder, we were much more successful and managed to finish with 10 minutes left. Overall the rooms are tough in ways but fair. Few red herrings.
