Whether you like the food or not, you will most certainly have a memorable experience. So honoured to have partaken in this. Worth every penny.
Delicious, cheap… absolutely the place to go to after nearby clubs. Don’t waste your time or money anywhere else
I came here 2 days in a row because it was the only place open at 3am and the owner gave me a free spring roll the second day because he recognized me. It's 3 dollars for noodles and a spring roll. For those reasons I highly recommend.
I owe a long overdue review. Between the years 2009-2014 I was a frequent customer after a late night at karaoke over at 3Minots and at a very convenient location you can get the perfect night cap for those who love a savory and umami snack. These are the legendary 2-chow noodles that I think of still over 10 years later. If it's still the same guy, the owner is incredibly kind and sometimes I would walk by during the day and he would offer me a spring roll when he would spot me. Hard working and humble and ever so delicious when you are like me and can't stomach a full poutine or full kebab…

Incredible prices, even better food, and the absolute best owner. I come here every time I’m out in the area, and I even leave my apartment specifically for these noodles and spring rolls. The only improvement I could ever ask for would be a delivery service so I could have them all the time! Chez Mein is the best thing about living in Montreal.
Chez Mein is great, and Mr Lee has worked hard to keep the same affordable plates for soo long. They’ve been serving the same late-night noodles for at least a decade, but they’ve had to change spots due to increasing rent, which has affected their google maps reviews. But this place used to have a line down the street every single night for so many years, of people wanting 3$ peanuty noodles and spring rolls. Covid and post-covid has significantly affected their business, which is so sad, but 10 years later they are still serving the same 3$ peanuty noodles and spring roll starting at 10pm.…
Wow. Just wow. I’ve heard about this legend for many years, but never got the chance to experience it. Tonight was the night, I experienced the 2$ chow mein legend. 10/10 experience. 10/10 food. I got the general Tao spring role and the owner was nice enough to put an extra spring role on the side!!!! He also brings the food to the TABLE!!! HE IS COOKING AND BRINGING THE FOOD TO ITS CLIENTS. JUST WOW WHAT A FREAKING LEGEND WILL COME AGAIN FOR SURE
This is for the chow mien at 2am. I was craving chow mien and Chinatown doesn't open late anymore on weekends, I've always heard about it here but never went. The chow mien is really meh. Slap some soy sauce and chop suey would have been good, but it's you know, super cheap. The spring roll and peanut butter dumplings were solid. Cash only at that hour
