I have been living in this building for six months, and about a 1,5 ago, I requested a parking stall precisely to avoid any security issues. However, today I had an extremely upsetting experience, the window of my car was smashed and my belongings were stolen. This is a private, paid area, and at the very least, a basic security system should be in place. Now, there is no way to know whether the person responsible was a resident, a trespasser, or someone homeless? When I requested the parking stall, my intention was precisely to reduce the risk of something like this happening. But…
The new maintenance staff, Aron, is fast and professional. He replaced my door lock battery and fixed the faucet in a very short time. The building cleaner, Hagos, keeps the common areas spotless every day, and he always greets everyone with a friendly smile.
Gabriel Cantos and property manager Chantal seem to have launched a racket to steal your money. My situation is very similar to the other comments posted during the short time they have been at capital. The scam is that when moving out Chantal hides in her office ignoring calls, e-mails and knocks on the door so you can't complete a move out inspection in person. They then take your entire security deposit and try to add in my case $450 saying it's for paint while sending 60 photos of walls and some dust on the floor boards.And then they don't return phone calls or emails for weeks. I love living here. The Manager Chantel is pleasant and professional. Since she has been here the quality of service and care has made living here a wonderful experience. Our new Maintenance man is fast and efficient. My favorite thing is is consideration. He asks if there's anything more he can do before he leaves. Haugos, our building cleaner does an amazing job of keeping the building clean. Always has a warm greeting, ooens doors and if he is close by will take my garbage bag and throws it out for me. Even the leasing staff are kind and courteous. I am very happy here!!
Ok people if you live here or want to live here the one name you must have in your contacts is Chantal !!! This gal is absolutely amazing!! She knows how to get stuff done and is so kind and polite and while she is super busy, she will always return your call :) She truly is an incredible person to go above and beyond to be sure things are taken care of. Thank you so much Chantal your kindness is so appreciated :)
I love the capital! The management is top notch. Chantal and Gabriel are making a big difference! They have security. The cleaner Hagos does an excellent job, the building is exceptionally clean. I love the cute lobby and the amenities are nice. Mark the maintenance man is very quick to solve issues. Most importantly I love my unit. The layout is great and it's home!

Capital on 108th St. is a fantastic, pet-friendly building with great amenities—rooftop BBQ area, free coffee gathering lounge, a beautiful gym, and now a concierge at the front desk. There’s a friendly, mixed-age community and plenty of rental options. The underground parkade is heated in winter—huge plus! Shout-out to Chantal (the building administrator), Moby (the preferred ISP), and the team for hosting an amazing Cinco de Mayo taco night—such a thoughtful touch that shows how much they care about the residents.
