I was very disappointed with my experience with this moving company. My initial call with Ben was positive—he was polite and informative—and I was quoted for 4 movers for 4 hours. I requested 6 hours but made it clear I did not want the cost to exceed my budget. When the movers arrived, a significant amount of time was spent on walkthroughs and paperwork while the clock was running. One mover worked noticeably slower than the others, repeatedly asked me to restate instructions I had already given, and appeared to prolong the loading process. These Men were the absolute best! They were professional, they were respectful of our belongings, and they were quick! We had fun listening to music and cutting up with them! They were very friendly and the most helpful with everything we asked of them. They were amazing and we couldn’t have moved without their help!!! Highly recommend!!!
This was an unacceptable and dishonest moving experience. Before the move, we provided all facts upfront—full inventory, locations, access details, and timing. Based on that information, MJC Movers provided a quote that was unrealistic and materially inaccurate. By the end of the move, the total cost was approximately double the original quoted amount, despite no change in scope. The move took longer so that’s understandable, but the quote should’ve been realistic upfront. I hired this moving company because their sales rep promised a “straight-forward” estimate. The written quote seemed reasonable, so I booked them without hesitation. Big mistake. The final bill was almost twice the quoted amount. Bottom line: If you value transparent pricing, efficiency, and basic professionalism, look elsewhere. What I’d recommend to others: Get at least three written, binding estimates. Do not sign blank or “to be determined” fee lines. Include a cap on billable hours in your contract. Mjc moving & Storage I had a great experience with this moving company. The team was punctual, professional, and very careful with all my belongings. They worked efficiently, handled everything with care, and made the whole moving process much easier and stress-free
This company is HORRIBLE!!! They quoted me 4 men for 5 hours telling me it is their VIP team then the morning of they tell me its going to be 3 men that do the work of 5. This was a lie! To save time had broke down all the beds and taped all the screws to the poles to not lose them. THEY MOVERS TOOK THEM OFF AND LOST THEM! SO NOW WE CANT PUT THE BEDS BACK TOGETHER!!! This company will convince you to have three people move your stuff then one is standing around conducting business eating up your time. My walls are all mess up. The driver act like he is cool all along while he’s standing around talking he’s telling them how you ain’t corporating, the other two men are amazing but I wouldn’t recommend this company. Great team! From the beginning to the end, the process was superb! My initial contact was with Ben and he stayed with us thru the entire move. We started over 6 months prior to the actual move due to construction delays. When the time came for the move, the team did an excellent job. Moving heavy furniture, disassembling and reassembling beds, and placing all items within the appropriate areas. Our items were packed well and covered by the team.
