Some incredible trails! Was surprised by how good these are and how much effort has been put in. Easy to scan the qr codes to pay for your day pass - excellent.
These trails are amazing and a must ride. Absolutely beautiful and serene surroundings. My only gripe is that it’s difficult for new comers to figure out how things work. Yes, there’s Trailforks, but I would have loved some maps at the trailhead. (The lady who sold us our passes couldn’t help, unfortunately.) I was also unable to download the MTO app. Perhaps MTO could publish some gpx files or plain maps on the website to make things easier? Cold energy drink for a good price Good service and friendly personnel Dusty but very natural and safe with cameras

Neat well marked trails 👌🏾
What a beautiful place to take your mountainbike.
The reason for posting the Review is because there is not much info on the Web, so wanted to share my first experience. The MTO start point is really nice with Bike wash stands to rinse off your bike after a muddy experience and a Store with simple basic items. There is an app if you would like to purchase a day permit, but I went into the store to pay for the day visit. After reviewing the courses, I decided to do the Pull Scar Loop(interlinked with BackBone) which was very interesting as we do not have Forests in JHB. The majority of the course was well maintained. There was heavy rains…
What I love most about this place is the variety of things that you can do there. We often go hiking and have used the picnic facilities at the dam. There is ample safe parking, restrooms and a shop. The hiking trails can accommodate various fitness levels and distances. They are clearly marked and well maintained. A small group would feel safe there. And it's conveniently situated, just about 40 minutes from Nelspruit. Oh the joy, and luxury, to be in nature!
