Beautiful apartments and area but the walls are incredibly thin, to the point that I’m considering moving. I have two different neighbors in my building that have subwoofer/bass speakers that they blast all hours of the day and night that I can’t get away from no matter how much white noise or earplugs I use. As I’m writing this, my neighbor two floors down is blasting their bass so loudly that I can feel it under my feet and in every room of my apartment and they’ve been at it for hours. I love my spacious apartment’s concrete floors, whirlpool appliances, roll down blinds, separate shower and garden bath. The leasing process was super efficient and easy. Claire was outstanding. It’s a quiet and well-maintained property. Lots of walking trails all around.
My husband and I have lived at the Santal for four years. We also owned a property management business for much of that time, so we’re especially attentive to how a community is run. We highly recommend the Santal and even referred our niece and her partner, who moved in last month. The units are beautiful, and many offer lovely views of downtown and surrounding green space. The community is consistently well-maintained, and maintenance requests are handled quickly—often the same day or the next. This apartment will price gouge you on lease renewal despite rents in Austin being down and being a good tenant. They will advertise your exact unit for hundreds of dollars less than they are offering you for the exact same lease term and won’t match it. They are marketing my unit as less than I pay now but won’t honor my current pricing even though they would make more money than if they leased it out at the lower price. Makes no sense. I wouldn't rent here if you are planning to stay for more than a year.

Review: Would Not Recommend I strongly advise against renting at this apartment complex. My experience here has been overwhelmingly negative due to a combination of unsafe conditions, poor management, and an overall lack of care for residents. * Serious Safety and Sanitation Concerns: It’s not uncommon to see tenants walking around in nothing but underwear, and despite reporting this behavior, management did nothing. I lived here back in 2019, and while I enjoyed the modern furnishings and the beautiful nature, based on these reviews, it’s apparent that the new management are beyond rude. As a realtor, I am appalled by the responses to the reviews. They are the most condescending responses I have ever seen and do not take accountability for any of the mistakes. No wonder so many residents say dealing with y’all is a nightmare. Get off your high horse and seek to serve your customers rather than deflect. Do better.
The Santal is an Oasis! Amazing amenities, nature, and relaxation. The build quality is perfect! Great location and perfect for an active lifestyle! There is a whole network of trails just across the road. Lantana hills plaza is a nice walkable distance as well! The management staff has been very attentive and friendly. Maintenance has also been very responsive and helpful! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking on SW parkway!
We moved in May 2024, and everything has been wonderful! Reagan was amazing, helping us all the way through the process from our first (and second, and third…) tour of the apartments to moving and settling in. Any maintenance requests have been addressed quickly, Reagan and Victoria in the office always kind and lovely, and amenities are always clean and maintained.
