My family has been using Just like Family to care for our Dad since 2024. We have had many different caregivers throughout that time which have all been great, but we wanted to give an extra special mention about our most recent caregiver, Deena. She goes above and beyond for us and our Dad. She is a great communicator, pays great attention to detail, and even suggests things we may not have thought of to help our Dads care. Really happy with Raya, our caregiver. She has been coming on a regular basis since the first of December 2024. Always has a cheerful disposition, is very reliable and punctual. I can confidently leave her to care for Val and know that she’ll be in good hands. Raya knows Val’s moods and how to distract and calm her as needs arise. Raya is an excellent caregiver and I heavily rely on her. Raya has become “ just like family” in my eyes.

This business/charitable Home Care service is outstanding. They can take a senior who loves their independence and provide that individual with fully funded care, including transportation and home care. I've seen senior homes that are for low-income earners, which encompasses many seniors due to the poverty trap they are forced to enter. Those senior residences can be immensely overcrowded with distressful noise levels and a gross lack of care. I couldn't believe the state I saw in one of these in Calgary. Was very impressed with this company from the initial visit from the coordinator who asked a lot of questions so she felt versed in my mothers needs to finding the right caregiver familiar with my mothers illness . The chosen caregiver has been thorough in reading my notes and accomplishing all tasks while meeting all my mothers grooming needs etc . In addition the followup phone call after a week tells me enough to say they care that they are providing the needs we asked for , well done !!

This company is amazing! Arlene was the caregiver for my parents and she did in fact become Just Like Family! She was caring and kind and made a world of difference to my parents and our family. If you are in need of home care assistance this company is by far the best to work with. Keep reading the reviews, a happy caregiver makes for a happy client. I am so impressed by the way this company allows its employees to go above and beyond for their clients without restrictions. Most companies say they go above and beyond but when their employees do go above and beyond they are told “ that’s not your job” or “the clients need to pay extra for that “. Mom spent her days by herself and was rather withdrawn from life, so in December we contacted Just Like Family Home Care. Karen put us all at ease when she came to our home to meet us. Although mom was hesitant at first and not sure what to expect, she agreed to give a companion a try. After her first meeting with Joy, the Companion Karen paired with Mom, Mom was hooked.
