This is a lovely place to live. You can easily make friends. We play cards and bunco. I live in the back of the building and I see deer and squirrels every day.
I would give 0 zero if I could. My mother passed on January 10th she pd her rent on the 1st. The Mngr Jennifer informed me I had only 14 days to get my mother's things out per her Lease. Also we are keeping her deposit. I was out by the last day of the month. On August 15 I received a letter from a "Collection Agency" stating I owed Lakeland Place $980 some dollars. Almost $1000. My husband received a letter also for the same amount. So they want almost $2000. Even tho we never signed anything. The Law in the State of Mi says I have 30 days for a Notice to Quit. I needed seal on fridge fixed. The maintenance guy fixed it and works great. He was very friendly chatted with me while doing his job. Just makes you feel good it wasn't just a job to him he really cared about the person who needs the repair. That makes a huge difference.
Matt is an excellent maintenance worker! He is very prompt polite and does his work in a timely fashion! He works hard to keep up on all that needs done around here! He is dependable and a hard worker!!!
Front the start to finish I have had a very positive experience. The ladies in the office are very kind, patient, understanding. The process went smoothly every thing was explained . It's a bonus when where your living they care about you as an individual.
Love it here! Bright, clean apartments, elevators! Everyone seems very friendly. Nice amenities like food pantry, exercise room, community room with kitchen & piano, Sunday eve services, library books & fireplace & computors. Nice handymen. Patio, park benches, pretty flowers. I call this My Happy Place.
