Wanted to encourage local business and unfortunately the food in general was mediocre at best. Owner was very friendly but did not offer any compensation when I called to provide feedback. They thanked me for my comments regarding my experience with no apology. General Tao was dry and overcooked and had no sauce; peanut dumpling sauce didn't taste like peanut butter; pad thai had a burnt taste and hot & sour soup was not the right consistency. We love schewuan food and were disappointed.
Fantastic spot for dumplings, locally owned mom and pop shop. The specials seem reasonably priced. I am a big fan of their plates as well. 2 orders of dumplings and a plate of general Tao. I will be coming back for more. Thank you Helen 😊
Family owned authentic Chinese restaurant. We ordered shrimp wonton noodle soup and steamed sweet pork dumplings with 4 toppings. Both are very delicious. Shrimp wontons are packed with hand-chopped shrimp and seasoned to perfection. Best ones I've ever had in Canada. Steamed sweet pork dumplings with 4 toppings are the most festive of all the dumpling varieties, juicy, filled with savory and well balanced in nutrition. Definitely a recommendation. The location is close to the YUL airport so it's very convenient for travelers to stop by and dine before or after flight.
Super tiny little dumpling place it’s really cute inside. I think it’s family owned so that’s a bonus. The owner was really nice. The dumplings were your standard dumplings. Nothing super special about it. Decent serving size. Flavour didn’t punch me in the face, but it didn’t taste bad. Either wasn’t too expensive. They have a little bubble tea stand in the back that I would love to come back and try sometime.

Not sure I'm qualified to say it is authentic chinese food, but seemed like it to me 😁 Good flavors and quite accommodating for the kids! They allowed for non spicy food so they went for the popcorn chicken of course!!! And the textures were not disappointing: crunchy popcorn chicken, chewy dumplings (yes I like them like this!!)... And check the pictures, but quite a good job in presenting these simple plates! We did not get a chance to be there when full of people but the place is nice inside. And clean. While the "special" dumplings, like Har Kaw, Xiao Long Bao and Siu Mai were presented nicely, they are a bit expensive, about 8$ for 5 pieces. The more "regular" dumplings where you pick your own fillings are cheaper, around 11$ for 10 pieces. I do enjoy the fact that they offer steamed and pan fried for the same price unlike some other dumpling places. The amount of fillings is decent and the flavours are average. FINALLY a good Chinese restaurant in the West Island. The general Tao is amazing , perfectly crispy and light on the sauce, maybe a little too light. Beef and coriander pan fried dumplings with homemade sauce were delicious. Veggie fried rice was very good. Popcorn chicken was not very good, not very crispy and weird seasoning which is surprising since the general Tao is so good. The couple that own it are very sweet. This is definitely the place I’ll order in the future. Only other mention is I wish they had a few more veggie options for my wife.
We ordered the pan seared pork and cabbage dumplings & hot and sour beef dumpling soup, both pork and beef dumplings were super tasty! Very spicy and homemade broth. The spring rolls were just ok. Highly recommended for their dumplings. It’s wonderful to have a good dumpling restaurant in the West Island. Speedy and friendly service.
