Always my first option perfect public transport link from city centre or around the city you can find all you need one in a go atmosphere not boring at all
A huge mall. Whenever I search for a store I get lost in the mall. Orientation in the mall is a bit complicated. Very easy to go, simply take the "izban" and get off the train at Esbaş station. You can find any kind of store you look for. It will be better to go on weekdays because some stores and points will be jam-packed probably. There are kid play areas too. There should be more public seats to get rest.
Izmir Optimum AVM is a spacious and well-designed shopping mall offering a wide range of cafes and popular retail brands. The architecture and lighting are impressive, with a high, dome-shaped ceiling that adds to the open feel. The mall provides several family-friendly features, including clean restrooms, a central food court, and various children’s play areas — one of which is a smaller indoor zone that requires renovation. Honestly, it was amazing. There are not many luxury brand here. But there are all brands that you can meet in Turkey. And playground is great! You have to prepare extra clothes for kids when you visit in summer. We bought one in the shop as we din’t bring it. Anyway the mall is huge and well maintained!

Great shopping experience. You also have the option to do some ice skating. (Now replaced by play area) You have a selection of many name brand stores. Well situated in Gaziemir with easy access to freeway.
This is a great place to visit. I went back to the optimum again before my evening flight. They have baggage storage lockers for baggage if you don't want to carry luggage with you. I went back to moda for a meal but on this occasion the service was not to the usual standard. Had a great day before my journey to the airport on the Izban/metro.
Very clean, wonderful safe children's out door play area making a great family shopping option. This mall was well laid out, the natural light from the beautiful roof was wonderful. This mall was very clean and inviting, a good choice of fast food restaurants and good choice of stores. Well done. I am a tough critic, I looked for faults but happy to not have spotted any. 🙂
As a bloke, you'll be surprised to hear that shopping is not in my top 10 list of things to do. That said, this shopping centre is impressive. Not just for the huge variety of shops - both Turkish and European, but just as something to look at (inside). Amazing open spaces where we saw kids Ice Skating - yes, I know! Ice Skating! I was so impressed with the place that by the time I realized we were shopping in shops, we'd completed a whole two floors of the place! It's definitely worth a journey of an hour or under to get to if this type of destination is on your holiday activities 'to do…
