There’s a reason Line Clear Nasi Kandar has endured beyond hype cycles and Instagram waves. Yes, the dishes themselves are very good — the fried chicken crisp, the beef tender, the seafood curries layered with spice — but that’s not the point. The real magic happens when you ask for the banjir, when they ladle that calibrated chaos of gravies over the rice. It looks excessive. It isn’t. It’s orchestration. The mixture of curries is just sublime. You get the sharpness of fish curry, the depth of beef, the slightly sweet edge of dal, maybe a hint of squid ink or okra gravy — and somehow it…

Order nasi kandar with daging masak hitam, telur sotong, kuah campur. At first it ok and I ate about half of it. Then I noticed a very bad smell. Bau hancing. Then, I saw a big rat inside. Very disappointing experience. The cleanliness needs serious improvement.

The fish heads, the fish heads are humongous! We had our food takeaway. The fried chicken, the scent was so good, we regretted that we bought only one and when we were eating it at our hotel, the entire room was filled with it's scent. My 5 year old was the one eating it and she absolutely loves it. The squid Must try. Chicken masak merah also not bad. The braised lamb shank or any of their parts, it's GOOD! I don't eat lamb but my parents in their 60s absolutely love it! We didn't dine in so we can't comment about the atmosphere but really, it's must try.

The food is really delicious! First, you line up to order your lunch, then find a seat and enjoy meal. After finish eating direct pay at the counter. Our lunch usually costs around RM6–9 per person, or about RM10+ if you include a drink. The shop can be a bit tricky to find parking for, so it’s recommended to park along Lebuh Chulia Street.

The first time I tried the nasi kandar here was many years ago, easily 20 years. Ever since then, I would always attempt to have a meal here every time I come to Penang. I had another chance today and this time, took some pics and decided to write a review. This place is a gem, an iconic spot for any nasi kandar lover, seriously a must-try and one of the best NK I've ever had. Over the years, they still maintained the taste despite several issues which I've heard about the shop in the past, be it with authorities and the shop management conflicts (I think I read the news from reliable sources…

The taste is average, the price is average, but it's actually a bit more expensive than other nasi kandar dishes. I prefer Deen Mutiara's Nasi kandar, as the spices are more pronounced. order onion chicken rice + onion egg 11RM (they asking our nationality before deciding price don't know what for🤣)

Was looking for a place to have roti canai and stumbled upon Line Clear few nights ago and it was a pleasant surprise! The staff were friendly and THE FOOD WAS SO GOOOOOD. We ordered a normal roti canai, a cheese roti canai, a roti tissue, teh and iced milo and it ended my night on such a high! (though it felt so sinful because of the amount of oil used 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨) Food aside, I just really like that the stall is walkway sandwiched between two other stalls, it gave a impromptu, adventurous vibes and that felt JUST RIGHT for supper 😋 The food was also reasonably priced ! Most importantly, the…
