I've lived here for the last two years, and feel so blessed that I managed to find such a great place after looking for just two days and moving here from Canada for my new job on just 10 days notice. I never saw the unit in person before I moved in but was able to get a detailed tour over a video call. The unit was emaculate when I arrived, I've never had a package stolen or misplaced, and the two main maintenance guys are competent and friendly. I've never seen a single pest or bug in this apartment, and the gym is always clean. I didn't love the cost of utilities but management tried to…
I lived here for one year and it was a really amazing experience. The gym, rooftop, and other amenities are fantastic, and the staff are really nice. The maintenance staff is also very responsive to all requests and do a great job overall. I ended up moving because my friend offered me a great deal to rent a condo he owns in Columbia Heights but I highly recommend The Clifton to anyone looking for an apartment.
Hi, Nothing but great things to say. The leasing office/management was so attentive and kind which really made the process easier and enjoyable. In fact, I came in to meet with Sally from the leasing office and she was very friendly and even invited me to a tenant event in the building (some of the most fun I've had this summer) which made me drop all the other options I had and go with The Alden. Amazing community, amenities, and super cool management. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's looking for something in the DMV.
I lived here for almost two years. As far as apartments go, this place is not bad. Strengths: Maintenance comes quickly or pretty quickly. Apartments are as advertised with quality appliances. Gym/rooftop are actually usable and clean, gym especially was decently well kept (with some issues for sure- broken water fountain, occasional broken machines) which I'm sure is not easy to maintain. Leasing office people are friendly and seem to want to help. Three stars is for the bad, though. This place gouges with "ratio-utility-billing-service" (RUBS- I wish I could go back to the day I didn't know…

I've been living here for over a year, just renewed my lease. The management has been outstanding - i've lived in multiple "luxury" apartments across the city (e.g. the Wharf, Union market, dupont) and this has the most genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodative staff (including the supers, gardeners) I've come across. The amenities are clean, well maintained, and my apartment has been in great shape during my time here. Highly recommend.
My fiancé and I absolutely loved calling the Clifton our first home. Some of our favorite things living here includes the amazing location, fully-equipped gym, underground parking, and affordable pricing. Between the front desk staff, maintenance crew, and leasing office employees, we always had a first class experience with anyone we came in touch with.
The Clifton is such a lovely place to live. Everyone in the building is so nice, including the leasing office. The management is so accommodating - they did everything for me to make sure I choose my stay with them. The amenities are incredibly nice - my favorite is the gym. The building is well maintained. Definitely a plus for dog lovers
This is an outstanding property . Is located just off 14 st , not too far from all the restaurants and bars but just far enough to be a very tranquil location . The units are beautiful and comfortable and the management and maintenance team are just amazing . A jewel in the area.
