HANSEN, Circuit Judge.
Appellants Kendra Miller and Naima Gi-anquinto appeal from a judgment of forfeiture, pursuant to 21 U.S.C. § 881(a)(4), (6) (1994 & Supp. IV 1998), of a 1998 BMW “I” convertible automobile. Kendra Miller contends she is the legal owner of the vehicle, while Naima Gianquinto asserts she is the vehicle’s lienholder. Appellants argue that the district court erred in finding neither had standing to contest the forfeiture and by awarding summary judgment in favor of the government.
