Patrick J. Billings and Rose Marie Gennarelli were both indicted in the criminal court of Cook county on a charge of conspiracy to cheat and defraud certain parties of money and personal property by false pretenses, and to embezzle and convert to their own use certain interest coupons and divers checks. Rose Marie Gennarelli was allowed a severance and testified on behalf of the People. A jury found Billings guilty and fixed his punishment at imprisonment in the penitentiary for one year and a fine of $1000.
