The action in the court below was replevin, brought by Josiah D. Browning against E. W. Hooper and John Cur-*421tin for the possession of a certain note, described in the petition as “ one promissory note of six hundred dollars, dated July 19, 1881, signed by Jane E. Coburn, payable to the order of J. D. Browning, of the value of six hundred dollars.” The case seems to have been originally brought and tried in the county court, but with what result does not appear from the record.
