ERROR TO THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. In 1834 Juan Reed applied to and received from the Mexican governor of California a grant of a tract of land. In 1854 his heirs petitioned the commission created by the United States for a confirmation of that grant.
