February 20, 1946, the plaintiff, Offner Electronics, Inc., brought an action in the superior court of Cook County against the defendants, the commissioner of buildings of the city of Chicago and the city itself, seeking to have the zoning ordinance, as amended on December 3, 1942, adjudged constitutionally invalid in its application to plaintiff’s property.
