Appellant Jason Nugene Turner appeals his convictions for capital murder and aggravated robbery from Calhoun County Circuit Court in connection with the death of Henry Lee Tatum. Following the convictions, the court, upon agreement of the parties, imposed a sentence of life without parole for capital murder and ten years for aggravated robbery. Our jurisdiction is pursuant to Ark. Sup. Ct. R. 1-2(a)(2). On appeal, Turner asserts he was denied his right to a speedy trial, that his counsel was ineffective, and that there was insufficient evidence to support the convictions.…
