ODOM, Justice.

Relator was indicted and tried for the crime of murder. He was convicted as charged and sentenced to death. He appealed to this court, and the conviction and sentence were affirmed. State v. Allen, 203 La. 1016, 14 So.2d 821.

On August 6, 1943, the Governor issued a warrant directed to the sheriff of Iberia Parish, where relator was convicted and sentenced^ directing him to carry out the sentence and judgment of the court by electrocuting relator on August 31, 1943.
