This 1979 condemnation action, which was tried before a jury in February 2002 on the issue of just compensation, is presently before the Court on the Motion of Defendant Detroit International Bridge Company (“DIBCO”) to recover $2,822,682.30 for attorneys’ fees and expenses it incurred in this case pursuant to the Equal Access to Justice Act, 28 U.S.C. § 2412 (the “EAJA”).
