This is an application for the construction of the will of the decedent, which was dated March 31, 1872, and probated in the Surrogate’s Court of Dutchess county on January 5, 1875, the testator having died on or about July 18, 1874. After making specific bequests to his wife of household and similar articles, the testator by the 3d paragraph of the will provided in part as follows: “ Third.
