In July 2012, Ron Medinger sued Michael Williams and Waba, Inc. alleging various claims arising out of an asset purchase agreement. The case proceeded over several years through discovery but was stayed in 2013 by a bankruptcy action initiated by Waba. In May 2016, Medinger informed the trial court and Williams's attorney that he intended to proceed to trial with his claims against Williams even though his claims against Waba were stayed pursuant to the bankruptcy proceedings.
