MEMORANDUM

MERHIGE, District Judge.

Lewis A. Sharpe brings this action under § 205(g) of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 405(g), to challenge a final decision of the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare (hereinafter “the Secretary”) denying plaintiff’s application for disability insurance benefits. The matter comes before the Court on defendant’s motion for summary judgment. The sole issue before the Court is whether the decision of the Secretary is supported by substantial evidence.
