Following a jury trial, appellant Sheree Dionne Murphy was found guilty of five counts of felony murder, aggravated battery, arson in the first degree, and cruelty to a child, all of which charges were related to a motel fire resulting in the deaths of five people. She was sentenced to life in prison, and she now appeals from the denial of her motion for new trial, asserting, among other things, that she was denied her constitutional right to be present at all critical stages of the proceedings, that the State failed to provide her with notice prior to trial of an…
