DECISION AND ORDER ON OBJECTION TO THE DEBTORS’ CLAIM OF EXEMPTIONS

CAME ON for consideration the objection of Victoria Bank & Trust Company (the “Bank”) to the Debtors’ claim of exemptions. The dispute is over the Debtors claiming as exempt $48,490 worth of assorted personal property, and also claiming as exempt $44,-747.31 worth of life insurance policies. 1 This, says the Bank, places the Debtors over the $60,000 cap on personal property exemptions imposed by section 42.001 of the Texas Property Code.
