A jury in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, on April 9, 2008, convicted Benjamin Sifrit (“Benjamin”), of three crimes in connection with the death of Martha Crutchley. The crimes are: Count One, murder in the second degree, Count Three, assault in the first degree, and Count Nine, 1 accessory after the fact. 2 Benjamin’s convictions and this appeal arise out of events that occurred over the Memorial Day weekend 2002 in Ocean City, Maryland, resulting in the death of two people, Martha Crutchley and Joshua Ford. 3
