A Superior Court jury found the defendant, Ley-ton Burgos, guilty of being an accessory before the fact to the murder in the first degree of Sylvia Ramirez. The defendant appeals from his conviction and from the denial of his motion for a new trial. He argues there were errors relating to the testimony of two key prosecution witnesses; the trial judge’s instruction concerning consciousness of guilt was erroneous; and his trial counsel was ineffective in several respects.
