This case comes before this Court for review pursuant to Social Security Act (Act) § 205(g), 42 U.S.C.A. § 405(g), after a final determination by the defendant which was adverse to the plaintiff. The decision of the Referee dated May 14, 1959, denying plaintiff’s applications to establish a period of disability and for disability insurance benefits, became the “final decision” of defendant on August 26, 1959, when the Appeals Council denied the request of plaintiff for review thereof.
